BLOCKBUSTER (NYSE BBI) is looking for a BLAST Analyst to work in our Corporate Office located in the Dallas, TX metroplex. The BLAST Program is a challenging, two-year cross-functional program that combines on-the-job development and training with significant job roles and responsibilities. Analysts participate actively in management, communication, store operations and Distribution Center training, as well as in the mentoring program. The BLAST program consists of 4 six-month rotation assignments selected from the following areas: Advertising Finance & Accounting, Development Finance, Domestic Operations Finance, Financial Planning & Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Retail Finance & Accounting, Revenue Finance & Accounting, Market Sales Development, Strategic Marketing & Merchandise Finance, Strategic Planning, Treasury & Investor Relations, Online Subscription, International Finance and Accounting, Product Planning and Analysis, Franchise Finance. Additional rotation/training assignments outside of the core rotations may include Marketing, Merchandising, Product and Operations. Qualifications Program Qualifications and Requirements: -Excellent Academic Credentials (G.P.A. of 3.0 or above) -Proven track-record of leadership -4-Year Bachelors degree in a business-related field (Accounting, Finance and/or Economics degree preferred) -Working knowledge of and skills in fundamental accounting and finance (minimum 6 hours of accounting) -Internship and/or relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, and/or Economics -Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn -Solid analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills -Strong communication skills both written and verbal -Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) -Flexibility and adaptability to quickly changing environments Application Process: -Considering Graduation Dates: December 2004 and May 2005, as well as recent graduates -Interviews to occur in February and March of 2005, Offers extended by April 2005 -Copy of transcript and completed Blockbuster Inc.
