NCH Corporation is an 85 year old, multi-national manufacturer of industrial maintenance products. We are currently seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources department. The central purpose of this position is to: Support NCH domestic and international businesses by planning and assisting in conducting internal studies and market analysis on a variety of compensation related subjects, including evaluation and pricing, base and incentive pay practices. Ensure that NCH's compensation programs are administered in manner that: (i) is competitive with external markets, (ii) is accurate, timely and well organized, (iii) provides fair and equitable practices, and (iv) provides business units the information needed to successfully manage their businesses. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Administers corporate-wide wage and salary programs - Writes job descriptions and consults with executive staff members on position criteria. - Coordinates the annual merit increase program. - Administers the merit planning system. - Performs market analysis and survey work and job matching - Participates in appropriate industry salary survey organizations - Reviews all requested salary increases for appropriateness and consistency with NCH policies and guidelines - Reviews proposed job code changes for upgrades, promotions, and reclassifications - Develops and maintains industry contacts for purposes of developing comparative market data, salary trends, and policy implementation Requirements include: - Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources Management (Masters Degree preferred but not required) - 1 to 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferred - Advanced database and spreadsheet skills (Access, Excel, etc.) - Strong financial analysis understanding (e.g. IRR, present value calculations) - Strong statistical understanding (e.g. regression analysis) The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Strong numbers analysis agility (financial and statistical) Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power Point Good oral and written communication skills Ability to influence new ways of thinking.
