Economics Instructor (Position No. 070410083) Teach Economics courses
using a variety of teaching modalities in a classroom laboratory environment and
also in a virtual setting. Must be flexible working with program demands,
including teaching schedules involving day, evening or weekend and
non-traditional teaching times. Serving on appropriate departmental, college and
district committees. Participates enthusiastically in recruitment and retention
activities; advises students regarding degree/certificate plans and coursework;
engages in professional development activities; contributes to the department's
curriculum development efforts. REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Economics and a
minimum of one year teaching experience at the college level. Course work not
specified on transcripts as Economics requires accompanying course descriptions
from the pertinent graduate catalog or letters from the division with
descriptions of the course. Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal
communication skills. Must have the ability to work with a wide variety of
students from diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds. Nine months salary
ranging from $38,026-$48,586 based on education and experience. Extra service
and summer compensation possibilities in addition to 9-month contract.
